Most times, we tend to say more harmful things to ourselves.

Things like “You’re too tall”…”You’re Fat”…”You’re too dark-skinned”…”You have a very abnormal body”…”Are you smart enough to fit in?”…”You always say stupid things”…It goes on and on.

These words even as harmless as they look cause low self-esteem and most times, depression. These emotions go as far as making us want to stay attached to things and people, dependent on that bad habit, attached to that friend, tuck in that toxic relationship, etc. Why? because we think to ourselves, “What else can I do without them?”

We forget that only we can truly place a value on is on ourselves. Only you can push you. Only you can pick yourself up. In a lot of ways, only you really got you. We are constantly clouded by these dark thoughts – the mean things that we tell ourselves.

I think most times we don’t realize what a jerk we are being to ourselves. Probably if we said these words out loud like we are talking physically to a loved one, we’d realize how dark and mean we’ve been to ourselves.
We are told not to say to people what you don’t want people to say to you, but times have turn things around. Now don’t say to yourself what you can’t say to people.
Tell that girl/boy in you all the good and beautiful things that you are. Speak to the YOU in you.

YES! You can hear you- feed that you with good words. Listen to YOU.
Once you have that self-love..you’d realize that others loving you is just a bonus, be your number one fan!
